Coloured chickpeas are a great addition to your sensory tray!
 
Sensory play includes any activity that stimulates a young child's sense of touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing. It helps young learners' brains to build nerve connections, encourages scientific thinking and problem solving, can promote mindfulness, grows language development and supports fine motor skill development. In addition, exposure to sensory play allows childrens' brains to create stronger connections to sensory information and learn which are useful and which can be filtered out.
 
This item contains coloured chickpeas in a ziplock bag in your choice of colour. Each bag is 10 x 13cms and full of coloured chickpeas.
 
*Note: Although the chickpeas are food grade and are coated with non-toxic paint, they are not designed to be eaten so please supervise young children as they play with this resource.
